Thoughts About Comments
So far I think everyone has been very kind and encouraging in their comments, which is a really wonderful thing. We've all spoken of the good things we see in each others' writing and we compliment one another on those things. However, in order to grow as writers we also need constructive (serious emphasis on constructive) criticism. A lot of the time it's difficult to see your own mistakes in your writing, it's much easier for others' to find them. In order for us to know of them and fix them, we should allow others' to critique us-- to help us.

I completely agree that we might need to be more constructive with our comments. Sometimes it is hard to post comments like that because you never know how the other person will take it, but I just have to remember that it is ultimately helping the other person in the long run. As long as we approach the comment in a nice and sensitive way, they should love the constructive criticism. At least I know I usually do!
