Week 1 Curation

I'm pretty familiar with bookmarks, as I use them fairly frequently to keep myself organized. I like to sort things and have them in some type of order. I'm the kind of person who has folders within folders within folders. Everything has it's own place and it should be in that place. Here are four example of how I keep organized on the net:

I like to keep things simple when I organize them. There's a bookmark folder for each of the different main reasons I use the computer and each contains bookmarks for the sites I frequently visit.

I love google drive. I store pretty much everything in my google drive. There's an entire world of folders in my google drive so that I can find everything quickly and easily. My google drive goes everywhere with me and so does everything I store in it, which is wonderfully convenient.

Yep, my email boxes are organized into fancy little folders, too.

Lastly, we use this nifty little site called Trello at work to keep up to date on projects and tasks. It's a wonderful little thing.

Now about curation and sharing-- I'm fairly indifferent. I'm a little traditional in my socializing. If I want to share something with someone, I will call them or meet with them or message them personally. I've never really understood the idea of sharing things with people you barely know (or sometimes not even at all!). I'm familiar with pinterest and twitter but am not a fan of either. Particularly Twitter. It's almost like you're shouting in the middle of a crowd and it's fairly obnoxious. Really it's just a 'to each his own' sort of thing. Most of my friends are addicted to social media and if that's what floats their boat then that's cool. But, they all know that if they want to tell me something, Facebook or Twitter isn't going to make it happen.
